Pushbullet makes it really easy to get files, links, and more from your computer onto your phone. The only downside is that it's built as a universal app, therefore will not be compatible for WP8 - only WP8.1 It includes most the functionality that is in the Android version of the app including real time push notifications. It's currently in Beta testing and will be available for you to use.
